We are happy to see our Wovenworks Market Basket featured in July’s Food & Wine Magazine in an article about foraging. Our basket’s design was inspired by the old market baskets for toting potatoes, tomatoes, and other finds from the farmer’s market. The Market Basket featured is our medium basket in Pear.

One of our favorite sites for home decor advice, Apartment Therapy, featured us yesterday. Always full of great ideas, and great shops, we were happy to see our store on their site.

For all she does for us, sometimes one Holiday doesn’t seem enough. But on that day, what joy it is to celebrate.

As the August heat blasts through, we all shout “Back to School!” A mix of emotions sweep through us as the last days of summer come to an end and a new school year begins. Preparing for “school”, even if there are no children to ready or classes of our own to begin, is something that lingers from childhood. Those K-12 years drove it into us – Prepare! Get your Study ready!
And for us, not only is it important to start fresh with new notebooks, pencils, and pens (or crayons and paste), but with a freshly organized workspace.
Baskets are always helpful in helping to contain all the office & school supplies.

On Wednesday, April 23rd we were glad to feature the equine photography exhibition, “Horse: messenger from another place & time,” by artist Paula Stoeke in a benefit evening for the wild horse rescue ranch, Return to Freedom.
The works, though not exclusively of wild mustangs, bring attention and focus to the plight of these noble creatures who, in recent years, have been rounded up and displaced by the Bureau of Land Management.
Stoeke says: “The horses cannot fight either the BLM’s helicopter round-ups or the developers’ backhoe. So it is up to us to bring attention to the potential loss of this phenomenal creature, and the immediate cruelty of the processes they endure in our names by the government. The founders of Return to Freedom have created something extraordinary – a place where the herds can live out their societal norms without interference from the human population. ”
It was a beautiful evening in support of a great cause.
